Character sheet Name: Serene Familliar: Siya the Nine-Tailed Fox Level: 1
| Subject: All About the Races Sun Jun 07, 2015 11:08 pm | |
| All the races- Dragonkin, Angels, Demons, Artificials, Humans, Beastkin, Grim Angels and Fallen Gods These are the races that are in The Dinerva Incident. Each race has it's own descriptions, as well as their own perks that relate specifically to them. Dragonkin: - Description:
These are the tribesmen who have very little known about them, except to fear them. Dragonkin have the ability to turn themselves into dragons, and they can not be taken lightly. Not to be confused with shape-shifters, for these transformations seem to have little effect on their mana pool in any way. These are one of the neutral sides of the Dinervan War, for they were pulled into it by sheet coincidence.
- Perks:
Dragon Form: Can change into dragon form once per topic, has no effect on mana and will heal 50% of all health once changed back. This transformation lasts up to 10 posts but can be exited whenever the dragonkin wants if there is too much damage on them. Note: Despite them being able to heal half damage AFTER changing back, dragonkin can still be KO'd while IN dragon form. The dragon form gets their claws and teeth to use as slicing/stabbing weapons, and can breathe fire. They have stat increases as well, shown below. Each of their stats increases to 150% it's original while in Dragon form
Angels: - Description:
These are the holy angels in stories known widely. These can also be fallen angels, the angels who want to still serve the gods but have turned their life to brutality, having a crueler looking on "pure" than the more holy "light angels." Once the gods fell and decided to destroy the land they once protected, angels decided to defend it. Angels are known for their sense of honor, as well as the purifying powers they hold. Angels are on the side to defend Dinerva, even if the Fallen and Light Angels must fight side by side.
- Perks:
Flight: Has wings and passive flying, unless you chose for your character to not have wings in which case they get no flying capabilities.
Purifying Aura: Magical attacks deal +5 damage to fallen gods, demons, and evil Artificials. Weapons can be blessed for 5 posts in a topic by using up 10% of their magic.
Demons: - Description:
These are demons, a race that hates... Well everything. More specifically however they hate all angels more than anything, and decide to join the side against Dinerva simply because they could exterminate the Angels. They were at first going to be neutral, but these unholy creatures, with their great abilities alongside the fallen gods want to show that there is more to the underworld than fire.
- Perks:
Unholy Radiance: Demons have a demonic aura, one that feeds off of darkness and negativity, pain and sorrow and anything bad really. The more of these bad things a demon is around the more powerful they get, getting steady +1s in speed and strength for each 2 damage done to an opponent.
Demon's Strength: Demons have unnatural physical strength. This doesn't mean the physical strength stat, it means how much iron they can pump. These demons have the ability to lift unnatural things, despite this not increasing striking power this trait does give Demons a distinct advantage.
Artificials: - Description:
Don't think robots or androids- this isn't what Artificials are. Artificials are a race of people created by magic by a specific race designed to be the best possible soldiers. While this doesn't mean they aren't on any perticular side Artficials are not neutral, they just have some Artificials on both sides of the war.
- Perks:
Mimic: This perk lets an Artificial be molded after any race except the Dragonkin. This lets you chose one of the perks that race has, and take it as your own. For example an Artificial designed after Angels can have Purifying Aura as their Mimic Skill. (Note: if you decide to copy a beastkin you can not take their beast-changing ability and if you decide to copy a Grim Angel you can't have a diviner)
The Mirror: If an artificial fights someone, they can temporarily mimic that person's stats exactly, but it does not add any additional power to the Artificial's own stats. This effect lasts 10 posts and can even be used on a Dragonkin in dragon form, but can only be used once.
Humans: - Description:
This race is the most common race among Dinerva. It was only natural they decided to defend it, happy they got help from other races as well. These people teach others the definition of peace, while also not being afraid to distort the peace every now and then.
- Perks:
Advancement: For living so long together Humans have advanced further beyond the other races in terms of technology. Humans have access to machines that are "advanced" for their age. This gives them access to weapons that no other race has, such as the newly released small cannons that can be operated by hand, (Or as 2015 calls them: guns) or those little small rock-like things that explode after throwing (or as 2015 calls them: grenades)
Hard Training: Humans haven't lost faith. They were the normal people, while all the other races had something special to them. Then they realized that they grew more after fights, a gift only they had. Any human gets x1.5 skill points after leveling up, and if something results in a decimal just round.
Beastkin: - Description:
Have you ever seen a Neko? Aren't they adorable? Well the beastkin not only share the characteristics (ears, tails, wings) of the beast they can full on change into them! They also seem to have heightened senses that told them that trouble was coming. Once the war started it took a toll on their homes, which led the Beastkin to be neutral, and not be on any side.
- Perks:
Beast form: Beastkin, like Dragonkin can change into their beast form. Unlike Dragonkin this is a passive ability, and they can indefinitely change inbetween forms. However beast forms do not increase any stat in any way, like the dragons.
Animality: Beastkin get the traits of whatever animal they are kin of. A bat beastkin would be blind, but have advanced hearing so amazing that it completely mapped out the world in no color. An eagle beastkin would be able to fly, as well as having extremely good eyesight.
Grim Angels: - Description:
Do not think of these as Fallen Angels. Grim Angels are NOT fallen angels, but fallen angels CAN BE Grim Angels. Grim angels are angels that gave something up from their life that they held extremely dear to them or a part of their body for a diviner. These "costs" could be their full willpower, their wings, or their families. These Grim Angels served the gods as their personal murderers, killing the Humans that the Gods saw as threats, as well as any other member of any other race that the Gods didn't like. When the gods fell the Grim Angels wanted revenge, and turned to the humans. The humans declined so the Grim Angels went neutral, now having a hatred for all parties of the war except the neutral ones.
- Perks:
Diviners: These are the weapons that only Grim Angels can possess. They were given to them using the gods' own power, and each diviner is designed specifically for its owner, with abilities different than every other one. For information on dividers read the weapons, powers, and familiars thread.
Flight: They can fly. Unless the Grim Angel payed using his/her own wings they should have the ability to fly, which doesn't increase speed but allows for arial combat which many don't have.
Fallen Gods: - Description:
These are the gods that started the war. Fallen Gods were unbeatable at one time, until the council came together and brought them down using a spell decreasing their power and removing their immortality. Each god was infuriated by this, for they stood on the level of an above-average human being. They were also infuriated because it showed the darkness of them to the Angels and Grim angels, their personal servants. Because they lost this they waged war on Dinerva, promising to tear it piece by piece.
- Perks:
Awakening: For a very short time, a fallen god has the ability to overcome the spell and reach their peak power once again. This doesn't allow immortality but every stat doubles for one post, and it can only be used once.
Regeneration: As the gods lost their immortality, they had to rely on self-healing to get by, but it wasn't very powerful at all. Fallen Gods can regenerate 10% damage every 5 posts.
All of you may be wondering "Well why is there 'The council?'" Well to that I say the council is a peace-keeping council formed by the races using some of their most wise and powerful soldiers. Even though some are oppositions in the war, they still attend meetings to try to sort things out. A councilman can not be taken lightly, for they are far more powerful than the average character. Councilman have no additional perks, but everything about them is in the Council thread. | |
